That's a great piece. There's not a good reason to have kids right now and plenty of reasons not to. For women in particular, the support isn't there. Social safety net? Like Kate Manne points out, if you're a woman, you ARE the social safety net.

I like that she said “don’t have kids or more kids” because the conversation often gets derailed by mothers feeling as though they are being somehow ostracized or blamed for a choice they already made. Ideally all girls would learn these factors that should go into making a decision about motherhood long before they are in a position to choose either way.
