RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - Clover - Jun 13 2025 (Jun 13 2025, 10:48 AM)nassim Is it full of hasbarists like Ovarit? Had to look that up, but I'd say basically a lot of the same "power users" from Ovarit migrated over to Vexxed pretty quickly so I'll let you make your own conclusions based on that. I think Vexxed is more-or-less a copy of Ovarit with maybe some slightly different moderation/admin practices. I assume that, like Ovarit claimed, they want to be a place for "all women." Although it appears that their "About Vexxed" page is still not updated so, I guess we can't say for sure what the overall website's goal is. RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - Wrongtoy - Jun 14 2025 I have access to codes. Dm if u need RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - Clover - Jun 18 2025 I also now have access to invite codes! :) so feel free to PM me if you'd like one. RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - eyeswideopen - Jun 19 2025 (Jun 13 2025, 10:48 AM)nassim Is it full of hasbarists like Ovarit? There are definitely some of them, but I feel as though there are fewer (at this point in time, at least) than on Ovarit. I know they posted comments and threads discussing setting up their own Discord server and going to Cekni (which I'm not on, so I can't verify) before Ovarit closed. It's just my personal sense that there are fewer apologists and propagandists on Vexxed (although there are definitely some) because it's basically impossible to reject the evidence that Israel is carrying out a genocide at this point without looking insane, even to themselves. RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - YesYourNigel - Jun 19 2025 Didn't Vexxed just recently censor a discussion on violence against women in Gaza? I seem to remember someone mentioning that. I don't think I can handle another fake "all women" space that actively censors any liberal and truly radical feminist women and lesbians while funneling dumbass women into their Nigels' manipulative paws under the pretence of them at least knowing what a woman is. RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - Clover - Jun 23 2025 (Jun 19 2025, 12:16 PM)YesYourNigel Didn't Vexxed just recently censor a discussion on violence against women in Gaza? I seem to remember someone mentioning that. Yeah, Wrongtoy wrote about how a thread for that was locked some months ago. Recently another from a few days ago about Palestine/Israel was locked too (but then unlocked). At least they're just being locked and not straight up deleted. (Jun 19 2025, 12:16 PM)YesYourNigel I don't think I can handle another fake "all women" space that actively censors any liberal and truly radical feminist women and lesbians while funneling dumbass women into their Nigels' manipulative paws under the pretence of them at least knowing what a woman is. I think attempts to generate an "all women" space is extremely difficult. Women are not a monolith and not all women of all various political ideologies can "coexist" happily in one space. So one way or another, a community is going to trend towards some general belief. Regardless, I assume Vexxed will try to strive to be for "all women", and I think it's a noble goal. I hope they actually allow more circle creation than Ovarit did—what was it, like three years of no new circles at the end? That's the only way I can see an "all women" online community succeeding—allowing all women to actually have circles for their unique aspects of their identity while also being able to interact with broader circles where diverse women can come together. So far they seem to be doing good on that front and slowly growing the circles and trusting users to moderate their own communities. They've announced new WomensHistory and Games circles today: https://vexxed.org/o/Announcements/2105/new-circles-games-and-womenshistory RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - Wrongtoy - Jun 23 2025 I don’t even bother to post to anything else besides gender critical news. I’m done with their orientalist perspective on how the only thing that matters is the headgear Muslim women wear. Which is always anti feminist according to them. Women in Gaza do not have pads, or private bathrooms let alone baby formula. And yet you see the hadbarists over there deflecting that onto their hijabs. It is hypocritical. They’re in their own bubble afaik, including how I engage with them. Women are not a monolith and not all women of all various political ideologies can "coexist" happily in one space. These spaces aren't failing at being for "all women" due to any inherent inability to be so, they're failing because the mods are actively censoring any women who don't toe the line that they approve of. There is nothing organic in this process. Quote:I’m done with their orientalist perspective on how the only thing that matters is the headgear Muslim women wear.
