(Apr 21 2025, 8:40 AM)Elsacat I signed up for a couple of the cekni.to circles, but I haven't been active there. I'll take a deeper look at some point, but for now Clovenhooves has been just fine for my discussion/interaction needs around feminism and gender criticism.

I also signed up for one of the cekni.to circles. I got an invite to another circle from someone who made her (??) Ovarit account after the announcement that Ovarit was closing. That gave me serious pause. I like that Cekni runs on the same software as Ovarit. The circles are “private” but I am not sure what that means on a site run by a man. Certainly I didn’t feel comfortable joining a circle run by someone with no known history, so I guess I will stick with the one circle for now and see if the traffic there picks up.

Spinster was made by a man also. And it’s practically a ghost town. I am also not a huge fan of Mastodon software.

I have joined a few private Discord servers. Of course, Discord is a male run company and extremely pro-TIM. So that is not a particularly comfy setting either.

I have peeked at Tumblr. They certainly are not pro-woman in their moderation. Now I think I remember what I heard about that site years ago. Yikes. 😳 And it’s clearly a male-dominated company. I doubt I will invest much time in that.

Bluesky has a tiny radfem presence, but the site was made by and for men and is dominated by the punch a terf crowd.

So, while this site is on an old-fashioned software, it is run by a woman, there’s no men, and the discussion is good. 💜

The one thing I will miss about Ovarit is NOT the Krasnov supporters but the news aggregation and the easy way we could scan for it.

(Apr 21 2025, 2:06 PM)Wrongtoy Clover, most prominent Cekni circles have closed to additional membership.

Ah, thanks for the info. I will avoid mentioning them then, sounds like they want to be a little private to not deal with the full Ovarit closure chaos. Maybe in the future if they open up I can share them.

r/Pornismisogyny is good as long as you stay away from GC related discussions both there and elsewhere. I've been banned from that sub several times so I wouldn't recommend it if you've ever engaged in gender critical discussions in public reddit subs.

OrangeBurrito created WomensWiki and has this great collection of women's online communities: https://womenswiki.org/wiki/Online_Communities
