I'd say that this is a very extreme error for the DHS to be making, but I know full well it isn't a mistake. The cruelty is the point.
Even is Kilmar, by some miracle, is able to get back to the US, his life will be fucked up forever. His name has been dragged through the mud. He and his family will be in danger from vigilantes who know where he lives.

this isnt a trump administration problem. Deportations and breaking people and families has existed in the "global north" for the longest time. The whole scheme of H1B visas are also this shitty. i didn't want it to get worse before it got better, but i hope we don't return to how things were under obama. it's not enough.
