Collective Shout is the women's organization responsible for the recent news about Steam and Itch.io removing what Reddit claimed were "merely" "porn/sex games" off their platforms. Turns out the organization was specifically against games that featured sexual violence against women — rape and incest.
Since Collective Shout's letter writing campaign to major payment processors succeeded, male gamers have begun throwing misogynistic temper tantrums.

Predictably, misogynistic gamers have come out in full force in defence of their access to rape, incest and child abuse games. They have unleashed a torrent of abuse and threats of violence against the women on our team – ironically, proving our point.

Porn takedown actions like these have rarely been successful in gaming spaces until now and, as a lifelong gamer and frequenter thereof, I could not be happier!
We all knew how men would respond. The psychotic meltdown not only proves Collective Shout's point, it's also been a satisfying bonus to watch. 
If you want men to experience the pain that their culture inflicts upon women every day, all you have to do is restrict a small part of it.It's also kind of embarrassing that it had to be a conservative feminist organization that led this charge, for lack of other feminists being willing and able to stand the fuck up against rape simulation! This is a clear win though and I'm here for it.

I was a tiny part of the letter writing campaign. I was thrilled to get the news. I have been a gamer since the days of BBS. I was “gang raped” in a MUD (text based telnet game loosely based on AD&D). Male violence against gamer women and women generally has always been a reality. Male behavior in response to their rape games being removed proves the problem.
