So for at least 110 years, people (mostly men) have described voluntarily childless women as "abnormal" and been upset about rich people having no children and poor people having the highest number of children. And, for at least 110 years, it's been observed that having kids goes against women's ability to have better lives, and if society wants women to have children, it has to be worth their while financially and not be a huge drain on resources.
