Father Ted creator Graham Linehan arrested at Heathrow for ‘anti-trans posts’ - Clover - Sep 2 2025 The Standard, September 2 2025. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/met-police-father-ted-heathrow-anti-trans-posts-x-graham-linehan-b1245573.html Quote:Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan has been arrested at Heathrow on suspicion of inciting violence over a series of gender-critical posts on the X social media platform. Quote:One of Linehan’s posts on X from April 20 said: “If a trans-identified male is in a female-only space, he is committing a violent, abusive act. Make a scene, call the cops and if all else fails, punch him in the balls.” RE: Father Ted creator Graham Linehan arrested at Heathrow for ‘anti-trans posts’ - Elsacat - Sep 3 2025 I admire his willingness to speak out on the topic, but he'd do himself a favor if he handled things more like J. K. Rowling and less like an obsessive who might be somewhat mentally ill. It's ridiculous to be arrested over those tweets, but the "if all else fails, punch him in the balls" does encourage violence. Without that sentence, I bet he never would have been arrested. Without that sentence, I bet he never would have been arrested. I wonder when they'll take the countless social media posts from men that encourage violence against women anywhere near as seriously as they took some bumbling old man tweeting about hitting transgender-identifying men in the balls if they're in women's bathrooms and refuse to leave. I recall this isn't the first instance of UK "police state" type of activities related to shielding transgenderism, weren't they also in the news for investigating a woman for making anti-trans posts and then putting her under surveillance or social media babysitting or something? Whacky Orwellian stuff going on across the pond. Go search twitter for the word "punch", see how many incitements to violence you get. Do you thinl the police actually care about? Have they used these laws to arrest ANYONE for inciting violence towards women? |
