Iran makes hijab voluntary, says report - Wrongtoy - Oct 7 2025 https://x.com/mog_russEN/status/1975536136375136498 Ingenious move, really. Takes away israelamericas tiredexcuse they’re invading over women’s rights RE: Iran makes hijab voluntary, says report - Clover - Oct 7 2025 Copy of post: RussiaNews 🇷🇺 @mog_russEN on X 🚨⚡️BREAKING AND UNUSUAL Is there any actual news source for this though..? I cannot find any searching "Iran makes hijab voluntary." The "closest" I can find is an August 2025 article from The New Region quoting the Iranian president, which doesn't really sound like he promotes not wearing hijab, he just admits that they can't force women to wear it: Quote:ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq - Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Sunday said that the country’s hijab issue is not a matter to be resolved “by force” but through “cultural education”. I guess it does say that the hijab fine law was not brought into effect, but is this any different than what this new tweet is announcing? RE: Iran makes hijab voluntary, says report - Wrongtoy - Oct 7 2025 When Iran and Israel were exchanging fire, quite a few non hijabis were out publicly praising the ayotallah. So in seeing this I wasn’t super surprised RE: Iran makes hijab voluntary, says report - PepperJane - Oct 9 2025 People over here in (I was gonna say the West, but, let's face it, a lot is the USA-centric view...which does imply the West, but let's not act like the USA didn't have hegemony for a time. Of course, so did France and Britain, anyways...see..I ramble...) They expect that if hijabs aren't thrown-off collectively, overnight, it doesn't count. It's incremental change. It's even generational change. Stop expecting other cultures to change overnight. Ahmini's death, struck a chord with every woman, child, and man. People were rising up. You could see that in the reports. And she wouldn't have taken that hijab off, she wouldn't have chanced that, if she didn't know she was backed by other women. The 2nd wavers ran onto horse racing tracks! The Arab Spring is not forgotten. But we know what it begets. Are we in the Arab Winter? But, so many in the "middle-east" are not Arab. They forget that too. And by the way, Arabs are working hard to overthrow this bullshit, Wahhabism. Arab women, especially. And they are making strides! But no one amplifies that... But all that is too say, Iranians are not Arab! They're Persian. For fuck sakes! I once worked in Laos. I would see revelers come over the friendship bridge in Chang Mai from Thailand. The young ladies would be dressed in booty shorts and tank tops; the young gentlemen in...swimming trunks...I guess? The point isn't exactly about dress. However, this group came in and I remember a young woman (who was also a traveler) said, "It's not our job to rebel against their parents. It's their job to rebel against their parents." Which hit me home. Yeah, they (uh, in this case the Laotians, but I think, you get my meaning) need support; as in, amplifying their voices and what is happening. But don't weaponize this shit. Trust me, Iran knows what happens when things change overnight. I'm so sorry. I am more focused in real life. I just ramble and then I just don't want to waste time online organizing my thought. I like responding in person, because you can see where the conversation is going, and the other person can step in to realign you with what is being discussed. Online...fuck it...I just blast it out there. |
