Texas removes women and minorities from Historically Underutilized Business program for state contracts - Elsacat - Dec 2 2025 https://www.texastribune.org/2025/12/02/texas-historically-underutilized-business-program-hub-women-minorities/ https://archive.ph/Ml04S Quote:The Historically Underutilized Business program will now focus on businesses owned by disabled veterans and be renamed the Veteran Heroes United in Business program, or VetHUB. RE: Texas removes women and minorities from Historically Underutilized Business progra... - Clover - Dec 2 2025 Quote:The program will now only be eligible for service-disabled veterans. It will be called Veteran Heroes United in Business. So... I... ugh. Just disgusting. Literally just more warmongering propaganda from the fragile toxic masculinity war-obsessed administration. And promotion of businesses run by men, basically. 89% of veterans are male (in 2023). "Service-disabled" probably increases the sex disparity even more, since women are often not selected in roles that would leave them disabled, I assume (harder to find data for this exact metric). |
