Kyle said Ofcom had received information it had requested from X as part of a fast-tracked investigation into the use of platform’s built-in AI tool, Grok, to generate large numbers of manipulated images of people, often depicting them in minimal clothing or sexualised poses.

It seems they've gathered a coalition of countries willing to do this. Hope they stick to it, even though there will be incessant whining about "freedom of speech"

Freedom of speech specifically DOESNT cover making and/or distributing obscene material, at least in the US. Not to mention that creating AI porn of people has to be against some sort of privacy laws we have in the US, will have to research that one. So I dont understand how any of this could possibly be covered by the 1st amendment when it specifically says its not for this garbage. Do these idiots not know how to read? probably not.
(sorry for the US specific response, but its what I know best.)
ETA: Took a quick read and it looks like the UK's freedom of speech is actually even stricter than the US's and shouldnt be covering obscenity or anything that would cause harassment or distress to an individual. And I dont see how anyone could argue that making AI porn of them isnt that.

mUh fReE sPeEcH. More like freedom to abuse women and girls. If people are worried about twitter being banned and they're not sexual predators, then they should shift their blame from people opposed to digital abuse and complain to Elon instead since he’s the predatory asshole who could just put guardrails in place, but I suspect he wanted this to happen to rile people up about “freedom” being under attack and to see how much he could get away with. They also act like he’s being targeted for no reason.
