News California lawmakers unveil new abortion protections ahead of Trump return to White House

Thanks to all the coverage on the abortion bans, people know that mifepristone and misoprostol are used in tandem to end early pregnancies, but something that I think isn't as well known: misoprostol is used on its own for the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. A friend of a friend nearly bled out after giving birth, and misoprostol saved her life. Banning it will certainly increase the maternal mortality rate.
