Quote:Meanwhile, anonymous threats to harm random women or target public venues, including many girls-only schools and women’s universities, have become so frequent on male-dominated forums that lawmakers criminalized such threats this year. A quarter of these offenders so far are men in their 20s, whose hoaxes have repeatedly triggered mass evacuations at schools, malls and train stations, squandering police resources.

The United Nations warned this year that the global spread of extreme language in the manosphere not only normalizes violence against women and girls but also fosters radicalization and extremist ideologies. In South Korea, warning signs abound.

And like American men and other men, the Korean men will blame women and feminism, not themselves for their shittiness and unfuckability.

As an American who likes Korean movies and TV, the depressing thing isn't that the fictional good men in k-entertainment aren't represented in the real population. It's that the fictional bad men don't appear to be fictionalized by much.

Seriously!!

I mean first of all, the guy's assessment of the situation is factually wrong. According to the post-shooting survey by the Economist and YouGov, just 7% of American women believe that politically-motivated violence can be justified, as compared with twice as many men (14%). Secondly, and more to the point, moid logic just often amazes me. Like here a man kills another man and somehow it's the fault of women and the solution is to ban women from voting instead of banning men from owning firearms (or just not giving birth to more Charlie Kooks in the first place).

(Part of me actually wishes women were more okay with political violence. All other disadvantaged groups wage war to achieve advancement. Women not so much. Comparative lack of testosterone makes a huge difference. We as an overall group don't have the aggressive instincts necessary to realize our own emancipation!)
