"I don't have patriarchy in my home."
She's probably in denial, set on maintaining the belief that her husband is different and one of the good ones because she doesn't want to face the fact that patriarchy is in her home, that it is inescapable. It is kind of depressing to really be aware of the extent of misogyny and how deeply it permeates every part of life and society.
And just blaming it on screens is such a cop-out. Was there no patriarchy before we had screens? Because there definitely was, lol. I wish that avoiding misogyny was as easy as avoiding screens, but it's there when I go outside, interact with people, read books, see advertisements, etc.
