Thank you for this. I joined the org, if only to have another email I'll probably forget to read 🙃🙃🙃

I had to at least add my voice. I've been sick and saddened by every young woman I know who tries to opt out of misogyny through gender ideology.

I'm an independent myself, but I say this on behalf of and in the better interest of liberals: This org needs more hype, seriously. Over in the UK, the GC feminists are well understood to mostly be Labour-oriented women politically precisely because analogous groups to this were forged many years ago. The result? This issue, even in the halls of power, isn't half as split along partisan lines in Britain as it is here in the U.S. If you don't try then of course conservatives take over the cause and reset it to their own terms, submit it to their own xenophobic agenda, and soon that becomes the only framing through which people view the issue.

I made another post about it today, "inspired" by Trump's "transgender for everybody" comment. I'm kind of worried that the Democrat party is going to shoot themselves in the foot again when campaigning for midterms and 2028 (so far away...) by refusing to let go of gender woowoo.

Seriously, there's a reason why the delusional ideas of morons like RFK have real uptake in today's America and it has everything to do with the often deliberate over-medicalization of life in general that we see today, and it stretches far beyond this particular issue.

Liked your remark about loyalty to the biotech capitalists that dominate the economy today being a factor in the popularization of the gender identity movement. Being one's authentic self sounds like an expensive prospect the way they tell it (to say nothing of pervy and conspicuously unfair), and that's always the sign that one's conception of it isn't just some lame corporate scheme in reality. :meowshock:
