I feel like the U.S. has turned into a once grand house now owned by an angry old rich guy with dementia and grudges, and he's letting all these grifter squatters in that he thinks are his friends, and they're trashing the place alongside him while they rip him off for everything he hasn't already stolen himself, and they're selling what they steal to whoever will buy it (but Russia gets to cut the line).

Assuming we get these assholes out of the government at any point, I don't know that things can be put right in my remaining lifetime. That's how bad the damage will be if it goes on much longer. There's no walking back the amount of private and/or classified information that's in the hands of people who should never have been anywhere close to it.

I wonder if he'll feel the same way if some of the vandalism cases turn out to be dealerships that couldn't move inventory, so they trashed it themselves and claimed vandalism to get an insurance payout.

I thought that immediately when I read about the one in Las Vegas where cars were set on fire, and I've seen people on Twitter with the same theory about that specific incident. Vandalism, or just insurance fraud?
