U.S. national-security leaders discussed classified information about planned military strikes in Yemen on Signal after accidentally adding Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, to the group chat. The White House press secretary addressed their reckless breach in national security by attacking Democrats, the media, and Jeffrey Goldberg, while praising Trump.

(Using Signal with disappearing messages shouldn't be concerning either. /s)

Here Are the Attack Plans That Trump’s Advisers Shared on Signal (March 26, 2025)

A few of the press secretary's blame-shifting remarks:
Quote:If this story proves anything, it proves that Democrats and their propagandists in the mainstream media know how to fabricate, orchestrate, and disseminate a misinformation campaign quite well. And there’s arguably no one in the media who loves manufacturing and pushing hoaxes more than Jeffrey Goldberg…

And it’s important to remember why this powerful action took place in the first place. Because of Joe Biden’s incompetence and pathetic weakness on the world stage for years…

The Trump peace-through-strength approach means no terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the waterways of the world. But unfortunately this is not what the Democrats and the media want to talk about; they are focused on a coordinated campaign to try to sow chaos in this White House. And this has been the most successful first two months of any administration ever…

Do you trust the secretary of defense who was nominated for this role, voted by the United States Senate into this role, who has served in combat, honorably served our nation in uniform, or do you trust Jeffrey Goldberg, who is a registered Democrat and an anti-Trump sensationalist reporter? …

We are not going to be lectured about national security and American troops by Democrats and the mainstream media...

Rest assured to the American public, this administration is taking every precaution when it comes to protecting our national security, and that’s why the American people re-elected this president, because they know that our national security is in good hands with the president of the United States.

Joe Biden supposedly having a weak position internationally... made Trump's administration use an insecure messaging app... with randos in the group chat....? :excuseme:

Trump signs order targeting law firm with ties to Robert Mueller

Quote:President Trump on Thursday signed a proclamation targeting WilmerHale, a law firm with ties to former special counsel Robert Mueller, making it the latest law firm to be a target for retribution... Trump has in recent weeks targeted numerous law firms with ties to Democrats or individuals involved in cases against him.

  • WilmerHale rewarded Robert Mueller and two of his colleagues by welcoming them to the firm after they wielded the power of the Federal government to lead a partisan “investigation” against the President and others.   Mueller’s investigation epitomizes the weaponization of government.

Peter Marks, FDA’s top vaccine regulator, forced out
https://www.statnews.com/2025/03/28/fda-peter-marks-cber-director-resigns-rfk-jr/

Quote:Peter Marks, the top Food and Drug Administration official who oversaw vaccines, gene therapies, and the blood supply, resigned Friday after being told by Trump administration officials he would be fired if he did not step down, according to people familiar with the situation.

In his resignation letter, which was obtained by STAT, Marks said that he had attempted to answer the concerns of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., regarding the safety of common childhood vaccinations.

“As you are aware, I was willing to work to address the Secretary’s concerns regarding vaccine safety and transparency by hearing from the public and implementing a variety of different public meetings and engagements with the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine,” Marks wrote. “However, it has become clear that truth and transparency are not desired by the Secretary, but rather he wishes subservient confirmation of his misinformation and lies.”

That's terrifying, and I'd think so even if this was coming from a president who I thought was doing a good job.

April 1 2025: Trump admin accidentally sent Maryland father to Salvadorian mega-prison and says it can’t get him back: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-el-salvador-abrego-garcia-b2725002.html

Quote:“On March 15, although ICE was aware of his protection from removal to El Salvador, Abrego Garcia was removed to El Salvador because of an administrative error,” the government wrote.

The admission came in a suit from Abrego Garcia’s family, who is seeking court orders barring the U.S. from paying El Salvador for the man’s detention and demanding that the federal government request the country return him to the United States.

The Trump administration argues that because the man is no longer in U.S. custody, a U.S. court lacks jurisdiction to issue orders regarding his detention and release.

So... In the United States, you can now get "accidentally" sent to a Salvadorian prison by the United States government, and once you're there, suddenly there's no way to get you out, because the United States has no jurisdiction there! Well isn't that convenient for certain types of regimes..? Hmm...

National Security Agency chief and deputy director dismissed
https://archive.ph/rGzTz
Quote:The director and the No. 2 official at the National Security Agency were ousted from their positions Thursday...

Haugh was both the head of U.S. Cyber Command and the director of the National Security Agency, a role he had served in since February 2024. Deputy NSA Director Wendy Noble was the agency’s senior civilian leader.

Both are career officials — Haugh with more than 30 years in the Air Force, primarily in intelligence and cyber jobs, along with a degree in Russian studies, while Nobles worked her way up at the NSA since 1987.

Last month, Trump adviser Elon Musk visited the National Security Agency's headquarters  and met with Haugh. That visit came around a week after Musk remarked on his social media platform X that "The NSA needs an overhaul."

Sen. Mark Warner, D-Virginia, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, called the removal of Haugh "astonishing."

"At a time when the United States is facing unprecedented cyber threats, as the Salt Typhoon cyberattack from China has so clearly underscored, how does firing him make Americans any safer?" Warner said in a statement.
