It boggles my mind that trans people will say "forced puberty" or "coercively assigned gender" or even call the fact that they're male or female a "disorder" or "condition", as if this completely natural and neccessary aspect of human biology is somehow imposed onto them by an oppressor force.
Perhaps this logic is profitting off of abortion rights (hence shit like "forced puberty", like "forced birthers")? Pregnancy is a normal thing as well, and yet we expect the ability to intervene and stop it, as well as to receive medical assistance with it to be a part of basic medical rights for us. I think the key difference though is that abortion does not negatively impact your health in any way (while pregnancy in fact can, severely so, hence also the need for assistance in birthing), whereas messing with a child's puberty does. Furthermore, puberty genuinely is something we all must endure, even if we hate it or find it traumatic (which is a very common, even normal experience) because that is a key and necessary aspect of our human biology, whereas pregnancy is an additional choice that a woman should also have to be able to opt out of.
I guess that goes back to the first point that there is no loss in abortion since pregnancy is an "extra", and ending it puts the woman back into the default healthy state. Interfering with puberty using drugs to eventually create and maintain a hormonal imbalance in a completely healthy body that is fully capable of naturally producing the required amounts of the hormones it needs to thrive is an intervention that turns a healthy person into a lifelong patient reliant on constant drug intake that produces atrophy of their organs and destroys their healthy endocrine system.
I'm actually surprised we haven't gotten a movement for children to take puberty blockers indefinitely as a medical necessity against the mental trauma of puberty. I wonder if that is going to be the next step? Or did trans really need the bioessentialist backing of gender roles to push their idea that girlbrains really can exist in male bodies? Whereas needing to grow up is pretty universally accepted as a necessity (though at the same time, we also relate en masse to the desire to stay children forever and not have to deal with adult responsibilities).
I refuse to debate two obvious facts: 1. the patriarchy exists 2. and that's a bad thing
