I appreciate you highlighting that comment specifically, it's a very nuanced and thoughtful take on the situation. Quite a few of the responses I've seen elsewhere seem unwilling to acknowledge that Gisèle's refusal to believe her own daughter is in fact harmful. As the fauxmoi thread shows, it's unfortunately not uncommon either. It's heartbreaking how many girls and women can relate to Caroline Darian in this situation.
