Victoria Smith The teeny tiniest bit of empathy might tell you that you have no idea what it's like to be socialised into femininity and that it's nothing like the male fantasy of it. You envy something that doesn't exist then call women ungrateful for not appreciating it more
Women are people, not fantasy feminine constructs. We are punished when we deviate from the feminine norms men impose on us, but when we conform, men decide we love it - we're natural masochists, natural objects, naturally submissive, "hollowed out" and vapid, as Long Chu has it
I am so sick of women being raged at for shattering the illusion of femininity as refuge for the unhappy male, then being told we're spoilt and privileged for not enjoying all this non-personhood that's been handed to us on a plate.
Long Chu does this, Serano does this, Wu does it here. All this envy of women for the fantasy lives we don't lead, all this anger that the "ungrateful" mirror dares to talk back.
"You've never been denied any area of expression" Ignoring the obvious (eg Afghanistan) millions of women keep their mouths shut all the time, fearing repercussions from the men closest to us. And you just think it means we like being demure little objects with nothing to say.
Here's Serano on those selfish cis women taking all that "female identity" for granted and "casting themselves as victims"
Or Long Chu comparing the poor, sad life of the pre-transition male, with his sad, deep feelings, before he transforms into being vapid and empty, like a real woman
There is just zero recognition of women as human beings in any of this. It's identifying into Barbie Dream House non-personhood on the basis that little girls can't possibly suffer as little boys do (or if they do, they enjoy it)
The biggest irony is none of these people could stand being treated like women. If they really loved femaleness as "the self being sacrificed to make room for the desires of another", they'd never question our desire to have spaces without them. They'd be delighted to oblige.
An Ovarit user makes points against transgender-identifying man Brianna Wu's misogynistic tweet: https://ovarit.com/o/GenderCritical/627101/ladies-brianna-wu-thinks-you-have-never-experienced-toxic-male-social-dynamics
Ovarit user dasehe shares Victoria Smith's response as well:

Ohh, man, thanks for posting this. I can't stand this guy, and this made me really mad, so I'm having trouble gathering my thoughts, lol. This might be more of a vent than a proper post 🤣
For those who don't know, this guy was "stealth" and refused to cop to being trans for a long time. Instead, he built his brand by being an outspoken "female" game developer. He rose to prominence during the misogynistic Gamergate harassment debacle in 2014-15. In fairness to him he did receive actual threats to his safety, into which an FBI investigation was opened. That being said, since this all only happened because he decided to cosplay a woman in the public eye, it's clearly not because he is trans or because he is actually a woman. It happened because people only thought he was a woman, and that's how men treat women online—with harassment and abuse.
I've always disliked him because I was active in online gamer communities for women at the time, and he was trumpeted as an example of a poor female game dev who was suffering because of Gamergate. Then later I found out that he's actually a man. 🙄 After that, I also found out that he's not even Asian, as his name suggests; he's actually a white man, and he just took his husband's last name. I know it's common for people (usually the female ones.....) to take their spouses' last names when they get married, but coupled with his cosplaying a woman, I couldn't help but feel as though he was trying to cosplay being Asian too. :/
He's since deleted his tweet—unsurprising, since it was so fucking dumb and he was probably getting clowned on—so I can't see what it said, but littleowl12 quoted much (all?) of it in her post. I can't believe he really said with a straight face that women have "never been denied any area of expression." LOL. Like for real, my dude? I'd like to know what planet this guy lives on because it sounds pretty grand...except for the fact that he lives there.
As usual, Victoria Smith nails it. If womanhood is defined by femininity and submission and sacrificing yourself for others, then why don't you guys be the "real" women, make a huge sacrifice, and get out of our fucking hair?
The amount of rage I get from incel TIMs lecturing women on how easy we have it and how difficult it is for UwU poor widdle men when they don't reap enough benefits within their precious male supremacist system and how us women should be grateful for our female privilege of being expected to play out a fetish-fueled sex-object fantasy for men 24/7 with no pushback....
Someone hold me back before I commit a genocidal terrorist hate crime by telling this turd that he should keep his misogynistic mansplaining mouth shut around women. Oops, pardon my apophasis, I hope I didn't accidentally exterminate half of the male population.
It blows my mind that women, self-described feminists even, look at this shithead and start clapping for the poor poor twanswoman and self-flaggelate from all their cis privilege. Yes, women, your oppression is actually a form of privilege because men on the other side of the fence with their misogynistic, ignorant ideas about women wish they were in your shoes!
