The bill defines fetuses and embryos at any stage of pregnancy as legal persons, thus defining any type of abortion — including those that happen before the state’s six-week abortion ban — as homicide, effectively creating a total abortion ban.

Lol I mean, that too, but I was alluding to them still knowing who to oppress. I was so disappointed with women on ovarit arguing that this would be a better outcome because republicans can define what a woman is. Like, yeah, they know what a woman is, and this is what they do with that knowledge.

I agree with you; very sick of all the "at least they know what a woman is" discourse (I posted a related piece by Victoria Smith here). The joke was just that they keep saying things like "at least they know what a woman is" and "ooh, look, they used the word people instead of woman" while ignoring the fact that the Republicans are treating women as subhuman.
