Anyone today who questions the idea that trans women are the same as biological females is immediately branded âtrans exclusionaryâ, he says.
And it is lesbians, in particular, who have borne the brunt of this intransigence. âAs a lesbian you have to accept them into this space as women or you are not an acceptable member of the community,â he says.

In recent years its members have attended parades in cities across the UK, carrying banners bearing slogans such as âLesbians donât like penisesâ and âTransgenderism erases lesbiansâ.
