I first read this piece many years ago as a youngster, and it influenced me greatly. As a child, I attended a religious school for girls, and they made us watch that ancient emotionally manipulative anti-abortion film, The Silent Scream. Suffice to say, I was very familiar with all the anti-abortion viewpoints and arguments. But realizing that so many religious/anti-abortion women would state these views in public, then turn around and get abortions anyway, then turn right around again and go back to stating these views...well, really makes you think, lol.
This is reminding me of another good piece I read a long time ago - I'll go try and find it, and post it if it hasn't been shared already.
