puppymum I believe that sexual assault and interference in a woman’s youth literally primes her for this experience. It feels deliberate in many cultures to groom and train women into subverting their own desires in order to cement women into subservience. It’s the backbone of all the unpaid labour that women pour into relationships. It’s internalized misogyny and it’s the cumulative damage that sexual assault has on a women’s identity that perpetuates one to feel that they are merely an object to be used with very little regard.

ILikeNeurons Rape is one of the most severe of all traumas, causing multiple, long-term negative outcomes, regardless of perpetrator tactics.

We would do better to hold perpetrators accountable.

Increasing the probability of apprehension by law enforcement is the only effective deterrent identified.
