Bianca Censori's husband, Kanye West, having another moment. Misogyny and antisemitism galore.

For context, Bianca Censori wore an "invisible dress" to the Grammys, so she was practically naked, while Kanye had on a typical black suit attire.

Their outfits reminded me of Sheila Jeffreys' Beauty Practices and Misogyny lecture:

Sheila Jeffreys Why don’t men go round in the evening in that costume? I mean, we’ve got equality, if that’s the situation, if we’re there now. Why aren’t men choosing, ’cause they tell us women choose these practices, choosing to do this? [laughter] Well they’re not, and I think it’s reasonable the men here could probably tell us why they’re not choosing to do this, yes, it’s degrading, it’s extremely painful, and it’s unpleasant. So that’s why they’re choosing not to do it. Okay.

I can't stand this dude. And I feel so sorry for the women he convinces to do this kind of stupid crap.

My refrain is always, if it's so empowering, why aren't men doing it too? Simple one-liner that can be used on everything from makeup to, uh, going to the Grammys naked, I guess.

I don't know how she puts up with it. Even if for some reason she doesn't mind being paraded around near-nude, and she never looks happy or comfortable doing it, these manic meltdowns of his must be taking a toll on her.

I don't keep up with celebrities much so I don't know about these two, but the way he talks about her is just terrifying...it reminds me of when in college there were street preachers who would camp outside the student center and yell out things like "Women should obey their husband!!" on a loudspeaker to any female students who went by. It struck me as strange that there were still people who thought like this still. That they didn't talk about, for example, having healthy relationships and respecting each other, etc. The only thing they yelled at the female students was to "obey their husband", even though most of them weren't married yet. Reading his first tweet made me remember those days. Men who are obsessed with be able to control their wives are truly terrifying.
