Not posting this to start any political fights, and certainly not a sponsored post. But because I thought it was a nice story about Sindyanna, an olive oil (and other foods) brand I didn't even know existed until today, the women who make it possible, and the women who are helped by it. They've been making products for 20 years, holding workshops, and trying to build relationships and goodwill amidst all the troubles in the region.

Make olive oil and other goodies, not war!

For anyone who, like me, is interested in trying their products, here's where to buy.

WDI Afghanistan From an Afghan women:-
“Afghanistan, My Motherland, Is Slipping Into Darkness

The Taliban regime has begun shutting down fiber optic internet in major provinces, with plans to expand nationwide. Soon, only licensed businesses may access platforms like WhatsApp, leaving ordinary Afghans—especially women—completely cut off from the outside world.

This move comes alongside the banning of all books authored by women from universities, with libraries being stripped of these works. With every book removed, with every word silenced, Afghan women are being pushed further into isolation.

For Afghan women, the internet has been more than a tool—it has been their classroom, their platform, their bridge to one another, and their only means of being heard. To take that away is to erase them from the present and steal their future.

We cannot remain bystanders. As women of every nation and race, we must stand in solidarity with Afghan women. Their fight for dignity, knowledge, and freedom is our fight too. Silence only empowers oppression.”
