I am sick to death of seeing YouTube videos by liberals scandalized by and bemoaning the poor TIMs with female genitals having to shower with men in men's prisons if they are ejected from women's prisons. I could swear I read somewhere that a surprisingly (or not) high percentage of TIMs never have bottom surgery. If someone can give me a good source link for that info, I'd love to post it on these annoying videos and point out that maybe they should be a little more concerned about women in women's prisons being forced to shower with prisoners who have male genitals.

HildegardVonBees According to this literature review: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6626314/ , 5-13% of TIMs have had genital surgery. But it's only as good as the data, and as far as I know there is no current, authoritative source for this measure.
ProxyMusic Most of the underlying "data" in that paper comes from the anonymous online survey of TIPs, or people pretending to be TIPs whilst filling out the survey, in the US conducted and published by the Williams Institute (TRA propaganda mill) in 2015. The survey itself is a mess.
Also, the paper itself presents different figures in the same paragraph that you referenced.

Yes! That must be where I read it - thanks a lot. Doesn't sound like this is being very consistently or authoritatively tracked, alas. Like so much other missing data related to "transitioning." Why that in itself isn't a screaming red flag to liberals, I'll never understand.
I'm a bit confused by the terminology in ProxyMusic's quote from the Williams Institute paper. Does "transgender men" refer to TIF's, or have I got that backwards?

Yeah, it is really confusing, I found this in the study:
Quote:First, transgender females (females assigned ‘male’ at birth) are usually identified at higher rates than transgender males (males assigned ‘female’ at birth).
It's very "TRA speak" terminology. So I think "transgender men" means TIFs, in the context of this study.
