It is from acting NIH Director Mark Memoli, and says the NIH must study the impact of "social transition and/or chemical and surgical mutilation" among children who transition. Specifically, the White House wants the NIH to study "regret" and "detransition" among children and adults who have transitioned.

"But they are left with these permanent effects."

She adds: "There are a lot of negative impacts of transition. And regret is definitely one of them," she says. "It's a very important area of medicine to study."

I am fully expecting equally shitty and misrepresented studies with a blatant agenda.
Something like the Cass review was a breath of fresh air and I know there is no way to have a study that trans people will accept if it doesn't align with the idea that a penis magically changes structure just by being called different, but I don't expect anything of value from Trump's minions. I'm even expecting to see more studies finding an evolutionary link between being female and wearing high heel or some shit like that, and it being used to prove that TIFs shouldn't transition or that men shouldn't wear them.
