Renaming FGM

I think most people have probably seen that bullshit "we should rename FGM to be less judgmental" article by now.

I had not seen this yet. This bullshit doesn't need a new name, it needs to stop.

However, I am glad they no longer call it 'circumcision', because that just brings out men whining about their precious foreskins. They are not the same, would not be the same, unless the head of their dicks were cut off, urethra exposed, to appeal to women's sexual desires, and to make sure those men won't want to 'wander'.

I chose my reaction to your post because the mutilation of girls is solely for the appetites of men, and I'd like to light those men's johnsons on fire. En masse.

I think circumcision refers only to one form of FGM when the foreskin over the clit is removed, which would be the equivalent of removing the foreskin off the penis.

I refuse to debate two obvious facts: 1. the patriarchy exists 2. and that's a bad thing

Omg i just saw this now! I find it so crazy that people are actually trying to re-name female genital mutilation 🤦‍♀️ it feels surreal. Most FGM victims don't seem to want this crime to be re-named and re-framed as less severe than it actually is, so this initiative to re-name it is so weird
