Let me make some predictions...
"It's a publicity stunt. It won't really pass. Republicans/Christians aren't really against gay marriage anymore. Marriage isn't the most important issue right now anyway."
Let me add the requisite: "It's actually the fault of Democrats that this happened. They let Republicans do this because they didn't enshrine it into law when they had 'total control of Congress' when Obama was President"
Because Republicans never ever have agency and never have responsibility for anything they do.
Dems only had that control for 4 months and were trying to pass what became Obamacare/the ACA during that time
