I just want to vent. I feel sick hearing about the rape gangs, and I’m not caught up with everything coming out about that or the drama around it on social media, but… Andrew Tate, who wants to be prime minister of the UK, was bullying and threatening to sue one of the victims. He also created a twitter account for his political party, and apparently it got suspended, but it was soon unsuspended, after which the Tater Tot thanked Musk, and Musk said he didn’t know why it was suspended in the first place. My point is that it seemed like they were buddies, and I’m not sure if that’s known already, but fucking hell. I just can’t with this shit. A human trafficker wants to be PM of the UK, and Musk seems to be all cool with it. Musk has the money to make actual change to help women and girls, but he won’t. Just “Blah blah blah look at me I’m a superhero rallying against rape gangs with my WORDS. Oh, and I want a rape slave owner to be prime minister, blah blah blah. Tee hee! Me space man!”

I'm so weary of the discourse about the rape gangs as well. What happened is absolutely horrific, but in many ways it's not news, not at all. Here's an article from 2017 I've been meaning to share for a while about a similar phenomenon—now seems like an apt time:

I found her perspective on what motivates such crimes by male refugees and immigrants very interesting. (TL;DR: The theory she finds compelling is that they have absolute contempt for Western civilization and values, combined with hatred for the women who should in their mind be property but are instead able to live freely and happily in those civilizations.)

Above all else, I feel that our focus should be on justice for the victims, yet people have just chucked the whole issue into the left vs. right culture war meat grinder and are spending all their time complaining about that instead. Parroting whatever Musk says, as if he could give a damn about the victims. I'm like, really? The same guy who probably thinks that women can't think freely because we have low testosterone? 🤷

Elsacat: I try not to think about how we're one KFC-fueled heart attack away from Peter Thiel being the shadow President of the United States. Sigh...

I remember that one Ovarit thread with the title that was something like "if you think conservatives don't want to help grooming gang victims, neither do you" but conservative men legit don't want to help the victims and this only proves it. They don't care about the victims because they wish they could have done the same thing to them. The only reason why they're so loud about this issue is because it gives them more ammo against men who they see as their competitors, and for their race war fantasies as well.

Musk has been accused of sexual assault. Apparently even a sexually predatory man is above criticism, and his motivations are not to be analyzed so long as he objects to some sex trafficking. But women who object to all sex trafficking and all sexual abuse must be criticized and told they don't care about victims if they dare point out that the sexually predatory man is not to be trusted. He's now pretending that the Tates were falsely accused of sex trafficking.
