A Reddit post from r/AITAH that makes me wonder why women choose to get pregnant/have children with men: https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1ixyaif/aitah_for_banning_my_husband_from_all_doctor/

KnownPerception7676 Hi.

So, I'm currently pregnant, about 6 months along, and my husband has been doing this thing every time we go to a doctor appointment. He'll drive me to the appointment, then when I’m about to get in the car, he drives forward a little, then reverses, then drives forward again. He does this a few times, and it always frustrates me. He thinks it's hilarious and says he's just "messing with me". I started to get really frustrated. I’m already dealing with the physical and emotional toll of pregnancy, and this just feels like him poking fun at me when I’m already tired and stressed. I told him it bothers me, but he just brushed it off and said I’m overreacting and that he’s "just having fun."

We had a big fight about it the other day. I tried to explain how it’s making me feel, and he got defensive, saying I need to lighten up and that it’s "just a joke." I told him it wasn’t funny anymore and it wasn’t something I wanted to deal with during my pregnancy. The final straw was when he did it again before a doctor appointment yesterday, and I was just done. I ended up calling my mom to take me instead and told my husband he was banned from all future appointments.

Well, now he's furious. He’s demanding to be there for the next appointment because it's the one where we’ll find out the baby’s gender. He says this is a huge moment and I’m being unfair by not letting him come. I told him I need him to respect my boundaries, and this is one of the ways I’m doing that. But he keeps insisting that it’s just a silly little thing, and now he’s calling me unreasonable for making a big deal out of it.

am I overreacting here?

This comment was amusing:
panikattaaak dont let him go, tell him it’s a boy, not really it’s a girl, not it’s a boy, but it’s actually a girl, even though it’s really a boy then tell him to lighten up because it’s funny

NTA. Why do people date/marry just utter pieces of crap ?

But really OP should just leave this childish babytrapping asshole.

Look at this. I assume this woman will not get an abortion, because such a thing would be "absurd" to most, so alas, she is now tied to this immature bully of a man forever. Because of how laws are setup, he will now always have an avenue (the children) of which to harass OP, since it is generally consider "absurd" for women to give up full custody of children. A human society controlled by men is a giant sexual harassment claim that goes ignored.

I can't even figure out what the point of moving the car around is. How is that hilarious? The main reason I never had kids is that it's my rule never to make an irrevocable decision, and having a kid is about the most irrevocable decision you can make. What I didn't realise until just now is that that decision is not only to have a child but also to be permanently attached to the father.

It's "hilarious" to men in the same way a cat is amused when playing with a trapped and cornered mouse before killing and devouring it. Look at how funny this is: she has to sacrifice her body to go through pregnancy for a man who trolls her, she now has to go through the painful and complex process of giving birth for a man who trolls her, she has to risk long-term medical complications from pregnancy and childbirth for a man who trolls her, she will then "have to" (societally imposed expectations that the woman give up her personal life after bearing children) raise the children for a man who trolls her, these children will forever be tied to a man who erratically drives his car back and forth erratically while she is trying to enter the car while pregnant with said man's child. If she doesn't leave him, she will have to raise two children: her new baby and the emotionally immature father of the baby. If she does leave him, she will still never be able to fully remove him from her life because of his blood ties to her children. Even if she chooses to give up full custody, she will still have to pay child support and deal with the societal shaming of being a woman who chose not to fulfill the "uwu motherly nurture is in women's nature" shit that society peddles, the child's father will make sure of that.

It's hilarious because she's trapped forever and him moving the car back and forth while she's trying to get in while pregnant with his child is the first of many signs that her destiny is now forever impacted by a pathetic man, and he knows no matter how pathetic he is, he now has so much power over her life. The car moving back and forth while she's just desperately trying to feel safe to get in is an allegory for the rest of her life. Patriarchal society is the car constantly jerking itself back and forth while tired women try to futilely safely get in and men laugh at us from the driver's seat.

It's absolutely fucking hilarious, for a man.

He wouldn't be able to do this if he were considerate enough to open the car door for her and help her get in. If there's no other time to open the door for women, it's when we're pregnant.

Whyyyyyy are women always asking ''am I unreasonable'' when the scrote behaves like absolute SHIT?

She's only being unreasonable towards herself by in ANY way allowing this treatment. There's no point in trying to explain, he needs to be gone from her life. He doesn't deserve a wife, let alone a child, and a lot of children are better behaved than him so how will he raise it? Meanwhile, scrotes are wailing and agonizing... Why aren't women having babies????!!! Is it because they've been brainwashed by feminism?

I can't fucking understand stuff like this. Like no you're not an asshole for banning him from your pregnancy appointments, but like.....you're asking the wrong question. The real question is, why are you bearing the child of a jerk that you don't even want around?
