I feel sorry for all of us who were CSA victims, and rape victims, and now we have to hear men (and male-identified women) splitting hairs, using pseudo intellectual language, victim shaming and blaming, to prop up a vile 79 year old man, and an actual and real cabal of people who abuse legal minors. The stuff of urban legends is real.

When 'sex' (aka rape) with under aged girls comes up, I know those cheap 5 and 6 syllable po-mo words will be trotted out immediately, It is like saying anything negative about men online, even some sites where feminists gather, you know the chorus of "Not All Men Are Like That!" will begin shortly, the Captains Save-a-Bro can't help swooping in, if men are being called out, feel the wind from their capes.

I really don't understand the argument anyway. If someone under the age of has engaged in sexual activity, they legally cannot consent to the act, doesn't matter if they are 6 or 17 and 364 days old. If you are arguing anything else, ask yourself why? Don't prop up men, especially on this.

Now that it's getting harder to deny Donald Trump's involvement in the Epstein stuff, all the excuses and diversions will be employed and spread around right-wing media and social media.

"It's a hoax" (bonus points for "perpetuated by the Clintons")
"It's not technically 'pedophilia' and a lot of men find teenagers attractive"
"Democrats are making a big deal out of this because it's all they have politically"
"It's a smear job"
"Virginia Giuffre isn't credible" (funny how that one's been picking up steam very recently but wasn't an issue for years and years, I guess when Republicans and right-wingers thought she'd be their weapon against the opposition)

and probably many many more I'm not thinking of or forgetting.

Republicans were all about the Epstein files being released until they realized it could bite them in the ass. Or maybe until they realized there was a chance of the files actually being released with anything that incriminates their leadership. Not that it will make a difference anyway. Teflon Don's criminal administration and underinformed supporters will make sure of that. The poster (I am not convinced it is a woman, there are a couple of those that started on ovarit) who called autistic people 'psychopaths', of course is arguing for men's 'needs'.
