"Scary" is really the only thing I can think about this. It's deeply unsettling and I almost want to not even pay attention to it because of how horrifying it is. 😞 I think what depresses me the most is knowing how lackadaisical governments have been about removing actual "revenge porn" or filmed rape already, I can't imagine they're going to care any more when a bunch of deep fakes flood the internet. I think they'll just tell women to "get over it" and this will be just another thing women will have to live with in an oppressive misogynistic society. Sigh.

I never imagined living in a post-truth, post-evidence society, where any evidence can be made up, and therefore any real evidence can be discredit as fake.
