I'm only familiar with a little bit of her work, but I'm surprised she was ever invited in the first place, to be honest. I wonder if they invited her in hopes of her cancelling, so they could say "she's too liberal for us" if she cancelled or else crow about how they got a liberal comedian to acquiesce if she had agreed to their demands?

The whole dinner should die tbh - wish the media in this country were more adversarial re the people they cover, a la journalists in the UK and Ireland. That said, there probably has never been a more delicate group of snowflakes than Trump and his psychophants. Of course he can't tolerate being laughed at, let alone having a woman do it.
