(Aug 3 2025, 7:44 AM)alefia I want to thank all of you who engaged, and generally help in the fight against the Western disinformation campaign that justifies the genocide of Palestinians.

I am happy to announce that I am on the way to a user score of -200. Do you think this could be used as a reason to get me banned from the platform? I was thinking about creating and sharing a Discord at some point, so maybe I should hurry. Who knows if/when I will be banned.

If you have any ideas for the Discord, please let me know. Once again I am thankful I got to be in this space where I can brainstorm ideas with other women.

Check out the RadLeft Unity Discord server if you haven't already! 💜

Thank you for the link!

(Jul 31 2025, 12:20 PM)alefia I opened a discussion on vexxed about how a sovereign Palestinian State would benefit women and girls. I kept it short in case it gets deleted: https://vexxed.org/o/Women/3446/unpopular-opinion-palestinian-women-and-girls-deserve-a-sovereign-state

I didn't address the elephant in the room on purpose also to prevent it from being deleted.

In my short experience on the website, I have gotten comments/posts deleted, and my user's score---whatever that means---is on the way to -50. Maybe I can even reach -100, I'm feeling confident.

That being said, I'm very tempted to do a social biases characterization study based on text data from vexxed.

Omg, OP, I'm so upset that you seem to have a score of -121 points on Vexxed. :( Sometimes I feel like me posting on that site or sharing about it with others has been such a pointless effort tbh. I feel like I annoy most people there anyway lol. It sucks though because I feel like the reddit-like format is just a lot easier for me to read through. I wish it was easier to get more actual feminists to join us on Vexxed.

Hey, welcome! I've some of your comments on Vexxed and have been looking forward to seeing your comments there, but also felt like you're kind of wasting your breath on what is fundamentally a stupid, close-minded audience that is never going to approach anything critically.
Vexxed seems even worse than Ovarit was in terms of conservativism, and that's saying something. It feels like on Ovarit there was at least a group of radical women who posted in radfem subs, with the conservatives being primarily in GenderCritical, but there doesn't seem to be that division anymore. It just seems dominated by pearl-clutching old women and controlling mothers complaining about their Nigels getting cancelled and their kids being disobedient.

The admins are currently still working on the women's liberation circle, so the old division could still come back. I'm just hoping they picked actual feminists for their mod team đŸ€ž

Honestly, once you censor and ban actual feminist women for not coddling conservative shithead handmaidens enough, I don't think you're getting them back. Nor do I see it likely that a forum like Ovarit/Vexxed would ever realise its degree of toxicity and misogyny when this has been actively nurtured by the mods for years all because anti-trans pearclutching and spite trumps any sort of concern for women's rights. Misogyny pays. Feminism doesn't. It's easier to nurture a space for stupid brainwashed women and their Nigels parroting the same shit than a space that demands that this be critically examined.

It might be ill-advised but I'm reserving judgment until they announce the mod team. If they leave the women's liberation circle in the hands of some actual feminists I'm willing to give it one last chance. I owe the original r/GenderCritical for introducting me to radical feminism so I'd hate to see one of its successors get taken over by conservatives completely. The fact that they waited so long to create this circle in the first place doesn't make me feel optimistic about it either, though. (And I do agree with your general assessment of Ovarit/Vexxed, if that wasn't clear.)

Trust me, I get wanting to rehabilitate the space. r/GenderCritical is still the only place where I saw women express similar frustrations with gender as me (what would popularly be called "dysphoria") that didn't immediately get reduced to simplistic "omg boysoul!" vs "disobedient little whippersnappers and their interwebs these days!". I used to assume most people there are like that, that their frustrations with gender ideology come from a similar place of unhappiness with the box we've all been crammed into based on being female. I haven't seen these women in a long time, though and even back then I think they were a minority, it's just that the conservative sentiment wasn't SO overwhelming to make it obvious where most people stand.

These GC communities love to prop up the occasional gender nonconforming woman as a gotcha that proves "You can just be GNC and not transition!" to show how enlightened they are and to draw in more women like that who might otherwise flirt with transitioning, while not actually caring one bit to question the system itself and why it makes so many girls and women want to disappear from it. It's just their stupid TickTocks and the interwebs! It's just a trend among immature kids! Why would anyone not be happy bootlicking their Nigel? They must just be a disobedient little shit!

And over time, I found myself not really wanting to express feminist opinions beyond the most basic milquetoast ones so as to avoid "drama" and the mods swooping in to stop "hostility". And meanwhile conservative women could say really offensive shit without being called out, or seen as "hostile and divisive". Then they went mask off with "why can't we all get along?" and "Stop purity politics!" came - so what if some women are anti-abortion and think makeup is empowering? Can't we just put our differences aside and focus on being anti-trans? Even if you think anti-female policies are bad, it's all the liberals fault, anyway for forcing conservatives' hands!

I can't see a radical feminist circle there as anything other than yet another way to draw moderate, politically lost women in, and sneakily try to sell them patriarchy back in the form of getting back at those yucky trann***. The mods would be cherrypicked to agree with the overal site mods who consciously let the space turn into a conservative shitshow - so I imagine the radical feminism would be allowed to be anti-porn and anti-prostitution...and that's kind of it. Stuff that old conservative women conveniently also don't like.

Hi! ❀ Thank you! <3 I remember you from Ovarit too! Are you on Vexxed yet? I have extra invite codes in case you'd like one!

Honestly I totally agree with you tbh. I have been trying so hard there, to add positivity, and more pro-woman posts, and raising awareness of injustices happening to women around the world, and trying to start convos to get others chatting more and to make newbies feel like they're welcome to chat (even though I kinda suck at writing ngl lol) and to combat the misinformation and racist posts and all of that. And I kind of feel... idk lol. That site sometimes just makes me feel worthless tbh. Just for being nonwhite. I sort of have been wanting to give up on the site, but then some days I can't help but wonder if what if enough of us who are actual feminists invited enough other actual feminists to drown out the racists and the rightwing conservatives and all of the hate and negativity, especially when I see enough others comment to speak up against the racism. But then I see the way that those of us calling out the racism end up with 10+ downvotes while the racist comments get 10+ upvotes, and it sort of makes me question my existence ngl lol.

I think I just need to stay away from that site for a bit. Or stick to just posting celebrity gossip lol. I wish that the block function worked differently on Vexxed.

Thank you! <3 I really appreciate that! If you need a Vexxed invite code btw or know others who may want to join there, please let me know! I have been wanting to use up my invite codes, before I decide what to do with my account there and whether to leave it up or just take a break for a bit or something.

I think I want to just force myself to get used to posting here with this forum format! Idk why but I feel like something about this format had been making me feel sort of self-conscious about taking up too much space oddly enough (i know I spam a lot of articles on Vexxed haha, but most of them get buried and ignored with their existing format, so I think I was avoiding here for a while at first, because I was anxious about being perceived or something, idk lol. 😅)

But Clovenhooves feels more chill so I kinda definitely rather would try to help get the forums here more active!

That's true about the Women's Liberation circle! I hope that they choose feminist women to mod that circle! I had volunteered to help out with that circle or with others, but i figure they'll probably choose other people tbh. I feel like I'm sort of unpopular/infamous on that site at this point lol.

I thought that by being optimistic and trying to be inclusive of everyone, that maybe things would change and that more women like us who have been frustrated with all this gender stuff and the way that both conservatives and TRAs/TIPs talk about it, could finally start to feel more comfortable in chatting more there.

And I feel like nothing is working to bring back the actual feminists to post and comment more and to convince the racists to just at least pretend to stop being racist and obnoxious for a little while, or to stop driving everyone else away. :/
